SGG Bioclean self-cleaning glass
Uses natural ultraviolet rays and dampness to clean itself.
The thin titanium-oxide layer on the surface of this glass triggers photocatalysis to breakdown the organic air pollutants and hydrocarbons that stain glass. Their hydrophilic properties then allow rain to wash them away.
It only took one year to turn this idea into a breakthrough – but seven years to develop and mass-produce it.
