Cerastat™ anti-electrostatic ceramics
Cerastat© is a new ceramic that enables gradual electrostatic-charge dissipation. It is used to protect hard drives and microelectronic products from electrostatic discharges during production, tests and use.
We have all felt that mildly startling shock when we touch a door handle. It seems benign enough but can cause serious damage if it occurs during microelectronic component production. The composite grains in Cerastat© are less than 1 μm and enable gradual electrostatic-charge dissipation – as well as mechanically and electrically outperforming standard ESD (Electrostatic Dissipation) materials.
