Saint-Gobain promotes multicultural awareness among its managers by giving them assignments outside their home country, especially at the beginning of their careers.
The Saint-Gobain Group is made up of more than 84 nationalities. 5% of managers work outside their home country.
Social responsibility
1,341 agreements with the social partners have been signed in the Group in 2010.
The annual convention for European Social Dialogue is attended by 70 union members from the European Union states, Switzerland and Norway. A select committee (9 members of different nationalities) monitors the implementation of decisions throughout the year.
Saint-Gobain Development was set up in France in 1982 to help employees find alternative positions and participate in schemes aimed at reindustrializing and reenergizing the regions.
