The researchers that join our Group can successfully take advantage of its huge technological potential to carry out their work, from exploratory research through to industrial application. They generally work in multi-disciplinary project groups whose members come from research centers, production units, and the marketing teams of the Group's industrial branches.
These research teams work on innovative products or processes, from exploratory research through to the demonstration of their technical and commercial feasibility.

The physics and chemistry of solids are the areas of specialization most represented in Saint-Gobain research centers, but fluid mechanics, heat, mineralogy, and applied mathematics are also much in demand. Saint-Gobain researchers have also developed cutting-edge expertise in the areas of polymers, ceramics, electro-chemicals and the science of surfaces.
