CONSOLIDATED SALES UP FOR GROUPE LAPEYRE AT SEPTEMBER 30, 2000

Consolidated sales for Groupe Lapeyre (a member of the Saint-Gobain Group) amounted to ¤940.2 million (FRF 6,167.6 million) at September 30, 2000, an increase of 10.3% compared with the first nine months of 1999. Growth at constant scope of consolidation was 8.5%.
