SAINT-GOBAIN, SONEPAR AND SIGMAKALON JOIN FORCES TO CREATE THE EUROPEAN PORTAL OF THE LEADERS IN PROFESSIONAL DISTRIBUTION FOR THE BUILDING INDUSTRY

Saint-Gobain Building Distribution has signed an agreement with the Sonepar group (European N°1 distributor of electrical equipment) and the SigmaKalon group (European N°2 manufacturer and distributor of decorative paints) to define and set up a partnership within the European portal Build2pro.

Build2pro aims to provide a global offering of services, products and logistics intended for all European building industry players. This portal will complement and complete the Internet policy developed by each group’s distribution chains.

Over the coming months, the partners will define the goals and format of the Build2pro portal; a pilot version is scheduled to come on line by end June 2001.
