Under the direction of Robert Solow and Jean-Louis Beffa and assisted by a scientific advisory committee, the Cournot Centre for economic studies has three aims:


To organize conferences where specialists in economics can present and compare their ideas on current issues of importance;


To make accessible to the greatest number of people the theoretical and practical work of professional/academic economists, and to establish links with other disciplines in the social sciences;


To provide support for research on economic issues.
