Inauguration of Saint-Gobain Isover Chemillé plant

On April 14, Pierre-André de Chalendar, Chief Executive Officer of Saint-Gobain, officially opened the Saint-Gobain Isover (Construction Products) plant in Chemillé (France), in the presence of the French Prime Minister François Fillon.

This is the fourth Saint-Gobain Isover site in France that uses natural and recyclable material to manufacture mineral wool with the G3 triple-guarantee: performance, health and the environment. The first plant to receive the company's CARE:4 and HQE certification, it is exemplary in terms of its environmental performance with savings in water, energy and raw material consumption and less waste produced.

Saint-Gobain has invested 100 million euros in building this plant with a production capacity of 70,000 metric tons, or the equivalent of 100,000 dwellings insulated each year. The Chemillé plant has also created 100 direct jobs.
