New publication from Maurice Hamon about the Group's history

"Madame Geoffrin, femme d'influence, femme d'affaires au temps des Lumières", published by Editions Fayard.

Maurice Hamon, Director of General Relations for Saint-Gobain and Manager of the Archives Department, has just released a new history book called Madame Geoffrin, femme d'influence, femme d'affaires au temps des Lumières, (Madame Geoffrin, a woman of influence and businesswoman in the Age of Enlightenment) published by Editions Fayard.

This biography recounts the life of Madame Geoffrin as the hostess of one of the most celebrated salons of the day, but also as the main shareholder in Saint-Gobain. The author demonstrates that both these aspects of her life were inseparable.

A woman of influence because she was a businesswoman, Madame Geoffrin also played a decisive role in the lobbying and public relations activities of Compagnie des Glaces.
