USA: CertainTeed introduces solar reflective roofing shingles
Landmark Solaris™, a new solar reflective roofing shingle
The Group's U.S. based subsidiary, CertainTeed, recently unveiled Landmark Solaris™, . Thanks to these shingles, solar energy is reflected and heat is better radiated.
During the summer, Landmark Solaris can reduce the temperature of a roof, thereby reducing energy usage and utility bills. Solaris is designed to withstand up to 130 mile-per-hour winds. The product also has a Class A fire resistance rating.
Landmark Solaris was developed at CertainTeed’s R&D center in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. The product is manufactured at the CertainTeed Roofing plant in Portland, Oregon, and is currently available throughout the western United States.
