Calarasi, all set for another 20 years
Inauguration of a new flat glass furnace at Saint-Gobain in Romania.
Several million euros has been invested in modernizing the Saint-Gobain float line at Calarasi to improve its industrial performance and reduce energy consumption by 20%.
This plant, which has an annual output of 21 million sq. m, in particular manufactures one of Saint-Gobain's most innovative product ranges: Cool-Lite SKN.
This solar-control glass guarantees comfort, natural light and technical performance. The aim of this investment is to strengthen Saint-Gobain's leadership position in the region.
