We spend 90 percent of our time inside buildings.  So the way a building is designed and functions is crucial when it comes to our health and general comfort. At Saint-Gobain, we’ve developed a new way of designing living spaces using an approach called Multi Comfort, which helps to maximize our sense of wellbeing inside the buildings where we live, work and play. Our ultimate goal: designing buildings for a more comfortable life.

Optimize my home

Would you like to maintain a pleasant temperature in your home all year round? Minimize noise from neighbors or a busy road? Save on energy, sleep better and reduce stress levels or allergies?

All these factors are linked to how your home functions and the way you live in it.

Discover a real life Multi-Comfort home

The first Saint-Gobain Multi Comfort home was built in Beaucouzé, near Angers (France), in 2011.

Since then, numerous homes, offices and other commercial buildings around the world have been constructed or renovated based on the Multi Comfort standard.

This positive-energy family home complies with France’s 2020 thermal standards simply by using solutions already available on the market.  A rapid payback is expected on the small additional investment needed to build to Multi Comfort standards. For this project, a wide range of Saint-Gobain products and solutions were used, resulting in measurably higher levels of comfort as well as impeccable design.

The building has been awarded France's HQE (Haute Qualité Environnementale) and Céquami  certifications, as well as the Multi-Comfort label

Improved comfort from floor-to-ceiling

Saint-Gobain’s Multi Comfort approach combines great design and innovative building materials to maximize comfort in all types of buildings, from a rented apartment to a multi-story office block.

And it’s not just for new build projects – by renovating to Multi Comfort standards, we can create great living places that are accessible to everyone.

For the home

As a homeowner, you can use Multi Comfort materials and systems to create spaces that work for you and the way you live.  If you're planning any kind of renovation or redecoration to an existing property, always consider what you can do to improve comfort at the same time – for example, by adding more insulation, incorporating sound-dampening materials in partition walls or flooring, or installing windows with higher thermal and acoustic efficiency.
