Engineering Science Olympics at the CREE

The CREE R&D center will welcome on April 27 the academic finale of the Engineering Science Olympics.

This national competition open to science and engineering sixth-formers and STI2D (science and technology of industry and sustainability) is organized by the Union of Science and Industrial Technology Teachers (UPSTI) in association with the Ministry of National Education (France). The event will gather around 170 people: students, teachers, juries and partners.

The aim of the competition is twofold: assess and reward experimental projects focused on Engineering Science, while developing pupils’ interest for research. It is run in two stages: an academic contest, followed by a national finale with the best teams from each academy. The pupils will present their project before panels of judges in the morning. The afternoon will include a presentation of the CREE, its activities and its job profiles. This will be followed by an awards ceremony, that will recognize the best projects, and a tour of the center. This event gives the CREE the opportunity to establish relations with the academic world and why not attract more interest in Saint-Gobain’s materials.
