BrandHabitat The atrium of Lambeth town hall, at the heart of London, is equipped with over 340m² of SageGlass. On such a façade glazed 30m high, dynamic glazing appeared to the architects Cartwright Pickard to be an innovative and elegant solution, capable of providing thermal and visual comfort to its occupants all year long, while guaranteeing the building’s durability and eco-design. SageGlass significantly reduces energy consumption and the needs for ventilation and air-conditioning. It contributes to obtaining the eco-label BREEAM in the “Excellent” category. The SageGlass panels include six different sizes ranging up to 1.5m by 2.5m. The building’s 11,000m² atrium is also equipped with the VS-1 ("vertical solution") curtain wall system, made up of only a vertical loadbearing structure to maximize natural light.
