Live journey: around the world and Saint-Gobain in just a few clicks

For the global launch of its new employer brand, Saint-Gobain organized a “Saint-Gobain Live Journey,” the first entirely digital international open house event. For five days, students, recent graduates and applicants were able to consult new content published hourly and meet the Saint-Gobain teams during 19 live sessions on Facebook or Weibo posted from United States, Brazil, India, Europe and China.

The “Saint-Gobain Live Journey” of five entirely digital international open house events ran from from June 12 to 16, 2017 to coincide with the launch of the new Group’s employer Brand and its tagline “Invent yourself. Reshape the world.”

The whole planet visits the world of Saint-Gobain

This unprecedented operation provided a virtual opportunity for talent worldwide to learn about the day-to-day experience of the Saint-Gobain teams and the wealth of business, career and experience possibilities provided by the Group for its employees. 

The event also highlighted the Group’s unique and open-minded approach and its demanding environment, which challenges the creativity of each employee enabling Saint-Gobain to be the company that creates great living places and improves daily life.


The Saint-Gobain teams in the United States, Brazil, India, Europe and China interviewed their colleagues, created videos and organized live sessions on Facebook and Weibo. The interest was so great that the site set up for the event published new content once every hour for five days, bringing the total for the entire week to 112. Connections flowed in from 107 countries, almost half of which from a mobile device. The event reached more than 2.65 million people from the Group’s LinkedIn account. The operation caught the attention of ACCE (the association of employment communication consulting agencies), which presented its gold award to the Saint-Gobain Live Journey in the event communication category at the French HR Creativity Awards.


The event also coincided with the redesign of the Saint-Gobain career pages resulting in a significant increase in the number of applicants, up 10 percent in August 2017 compared the previous year.
