New mortar production line in Russia

The Weber-Vetonit plant in Yegoryevsk, near Moscow, has just inaugurated a new ultra-modern line in response to growing demand from customers. Its capacity is three times that of the first line.

This investment in Yegoryevsk’s site will consolidate Saint-Gobain's positioning in a promising market: "It is very important for us to continue to strengthen our position in one of the key market segments - in ready-to-use mixtures. The new line allows us to significantly increase capacities and improve the offer for our customers." says Milan Lukic, Mortars Director for Saint-Gobain in Russia. It will be used in particular to produce coatings, renders and waterproofing products for the Russian and Ukrainian markets.

Among the new equipment installed on this line are two latest-generation mixers capable of preparing different products simultaneously. The annual production capacity of the Weber Vetonit plant in Yegoryevsk now amounts to 26,000 tons of mortar-based products.
