SageGlass installed in Dubai

Saint-Gobain has equipped the Swiss International Scientific School in Dubai (UAE) with 110m² of electrochromic SageGlass® glazing. This is the first SageGlass installation in the country and the largest in the Middle East – North Africa region.

The Swiss institution is the first construction in the region to have received the MINERGIE® environmental label that recognizes eco-efficient and comfortable buildings. Electronically-tintable SageGlass helps reduce energy requirements while maintaining the view and optimizing visual and thermal comfort, to offer students and teachers a healthy learning environment.

For SageGlass, the climate in this part of the world represents a high potential market considering the challenges of solar control.
