Saint-Gobain in Egypt promotes employment for women

Saint-Gobain has joined a bilateral cooperation program between France and Egypt to promote employment for women. This initiative has arisen out of the professional training agreement signed during the visit of French President François Hollande to Cairo in April.

Called "Pioneers in the future: Boost Her", the project aims to promote employment for women from underprivileged backgrounds by providing them with training and an initial professional experience, and set to engage within the first two years 400 women into the workforce.

From next September, Saint-Gobain Gyproc Egypt will host trainees first selected and trained by local NGOs with the support of the Sawiris Foundation, a significant voice in social development in Egypt.
