The second episode of the “I PHYZ GOOD” series about thermal comfort will be broadcast on the String Theory YouTube scientific channel on November 3. The episode shows David Louapre, a research scientist in physics at Saint-Gobain, explaining the sensations we can have when entering a building: hot or cold; comfortable or uncomfortable. It was filmed at the Ice Cube Bar in Paris and at the Domolab, Saint-Gobain’s innovation center for sustainable habitat based in Aubervilliers on the outskirts of Paris.
Pierre-André de Chalendar, Chief Executive Officer of the Saint-Gobain group, was awarded the “David Gottfried Global Green Building Award” at the World Green Building Council’s (WorldGBC) annual congress recently held in Stockholm, Sweden. Launched in 2011 and named in honour of the founder of the WorldGBC, this award is given to individuals whose contribution to the global green building movement has been shown to be unique, innovative and entrepreneurial.
