Saint-Gobain plays forward in the UK

Our materials have been used in the construction of the brand new Tottenham football stadium in the United Kingdom, which is notable for its impressive glass façade and ultramodern facilities.

Located in the northern suburbs of London, the Tottenham club’s new home ground is creating a real buzz. This 62,000-seat architectural “jewel”, designed by the firm Populous, comprises several thousand steel panels and an immense façade glazed by Saint-Gobain. More than 14,000m² of CLIMAPLUS STADIP COOL-LITE SKN 165 glass were installed. This solution combines several properties in a single product: resistance to violent impact (laminated safety glass), excellent thermal insulation and significant light gain (solar control glass). Our Group also insulated certain parts of the stadium with Celotex materials and supplied 200 metric tons of PAM pipe installed around the sports complex for the stormwater and wastewater networks.

While the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium boasts impressive design, it is even more spectacular inside. The complex includes 2,000m2 of retail space, 60 restaurants, a hotel, a museum, a climbing wall and a 65-meter-long bar that can serve 10,000 pints a minute. The third largest stadium in the United Kingdom can also host rugby and American football matches, as well as concerts.
