Saint-Gobain Research Shanghai is located at the heart of its Shanghai industrial complex and near several of our plants involved in Performance Plastics, Automotive Glass, Abrasives and Ceramics. This transversal R&D center serves as Center of Innovation to support Saint-Gobain’s growth in Asia-Pacific region. It has more than 186 employees, covering a range of research fields including: material science, mechanical engineering, modelling and building physics as well as grinding, coating, automatic optical detection data analysis, smart objects, 3DP etc.
Since the creation of Saint-Gobain Research Shanghai, its R&D teams successfully help their businesses to develop and launch new innovative products with better performance for the Asia market. Thanks to their expertise, Saint-Gobain Research Shanghai scientists have generated hundreds of unique ideas and patents.
