In the face of ever-increasing global challenges, it is not only necessary, but urgent to reinvent the construction sector. This reinvention must allow us to adapt our infrastructures to the consequences of climate change, while significantly reducing the industry's environmental footprint. A challenge at the core of Saint-Gobain's purpose, as we transform our businesses and mobilize our teams to make the world a better home.

To address this key issue, the Group's sponsorship and philanthropy commitments also have a decisive role to play. That's why, in 2022, we created the Build Change program, which brings together all the Group's sponsorship and philanthropy efforts worldwide, in support of sustainable construction.

Build Change initiatives are built on three pillars:

Supporting access to decent, sustainable housing, by facilitating housing construction and renovation projects, including in emergency situations (climatic disasters, floods, etc.), facilitating access to more sustainable housing through financial aid and donations of materials, but also through skills sponsorship, and by encouraging research into new techniques and materials to develop access to more energy-efficient housing.
Acting for more responsible and sustainable communities, by supporting sustainable infrastructure projects (schools and universities, hospitals, cultural and sports centers), helping communities build resilience in the face of climate change, and promoting sustainable architecture, circularity and the reuse and recycling of materials on construction sites.

Shaping the next generation of sustainable builders, by encouraging the training of young people, women and entrepreneurs in the building and sustainable construction trades, by supporting the integration of disadvantaged or excluded populations into the professional world of building, and by promoting the building and construction trades to new generations.

This program reaffirms sustainable construction as the compass guiding our every action.

It is our purpose in action. A purpose that compels us to act, day after day, in the field.

And through it, we demonstrate to all our stakeholders, both internal and external, that reinventing the construction industry involves each and every one of us.

Because wherever we operate, we all have a role to play in making the world a better home.
