GLOBAL AND
LOCAL IMPACT
LOCAL IMPACT
Build your career with the worldwide leader in light and sustainable construction, at the same time as addressing societal challenges through local action.
THINK BIG, ACT LOCAL

- Make a positive impact through your personal commitment, regardless of your role in the company.
- Create, experiment, learn and develop.
- Leverage your expertise and skills through responsible initiatives.
ACT LOCAL

Acting locally also means being an agent of change. In France, our "Acting sustainably" program enables every employee to put forward his or her own ideas for shifting the lines around four major themes:
- Sustainable projects
- Green mobility
- Energy renovation Diversity and inclusion
The initiatives selected are 100% financed by Saint-Gobain!

THINK BIG... AND AIM HIGHER!
Thinking big also means sharing dreams with our employees! We are proud to be an official supporter of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Throughout the year, numerous activations will take place around sport:
- Running challenges
- Football cup
- Quiz to win tickets to attend the Olympics and / or Paralympics events
Saint-Gobain shares with Paris 2024 the ambition to create supportive, inclusive, and responsible games, by taking care of athletes and spectators with our know-how in sustainable construction. In response to the challenge of reducing transport-related CO2 emissions, the Group has delivered various materials (glass wool, plasterboard, mortar, etc.) used in the construction of the Athletes' Village by river.

LYDIE'S STORY

Lydie, Logistics Officer
FOR LYDIE, logistics agent, thinking big and acting locally means:
Always having the feeling that you’re moving forward.
With her team, Lydie took part in the implementation of a new transport organization for the delivery of materials, centered on the use of freight trains and trucks running on natural gas to limit carbon emissions.
As someone who has worked very closely on this project, Lydie is very proud of her efforts to optimize the layout of the shipments in order to reduce the number of journeys required to deliver the solutions to customers. In addition to coordinating Isover deliveries on a daily basis, Lydie contributes to Saint-Gobain's purpose, MAKING THE WORLD A BETTER HOME, by helping to implement more sustainable modes of transport.
What motivates her in her work? Ensuring customer satisfaction at her Chalons site, and above all, seizing every opportunity to experiment and improve. At Saint-Gobain, Lydie has found not only a place where she can thrive, but also a job that lets her find a balance with her family life.
