WOMEN IN CONSTRUCTION: LET’S CHANGE THE GAME!

Because every woman has her place at Saint-Gobain and, more broadly, in the construction industry, we are working to drive change across the entire sector.
There is still a long way to go, but progress is happening — on the ground and in people’s minds.

A (R)EVOLUTION IN PROGRESS

Reinventing construction also means imagining it through a distinct perspective: that of our diversity. And if for some it may seem like a revolution, at Saint-Gobain, it is an evolution implemented day after day.

Signing of the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) as official signatories

WIN (Women in Network, in Europe), Women’s Network (North America), LeadHERship (Poland)…
These internal communities strengthen our collective force. Mentoring, best practice exchanges, inspiring events — they build connection and drive change.

Learning to manage differently, identifying biases, improving inclusion — this can’t be improvised. Our e-learning programs, available locally, help evolve mindsets.

Creating change also comes through listening, discussion, and sharing experiences.
Through diversity workshops (and local adaptations), our teams open dialogue and learn in a tangible context. In Asia-Pacific, the Women Empowerment network organizes diversity and inclusion workshops for all collaborators in the region.

ACTING LOCALLY, ALL AROUND THE WORLD

The feminization of roles is progressing everywhere Saint-Gobain operates.
And for lasting impact, it must be rooted in local realities.

It’s not just companies and NGOs that need to take action; everyone must get involved.
The construction sector forms a very fragmented value chain, involving many players.
This is why efforts to promote diversity must come from everywhere.

DIFFERENT VOICES, ONE SHARED DRIVE TO MOVE FORWARD

Equality is built collectively, when women and men openly discuss their professions, their choices, and the challenges they face.
