This processing activity has been set up to manage the Saint-Gobain Group's non-commercial information and communication and the application Saint-Gobain Shareholder and, in particular, for the following detailed purposes:

• Creation and use of an address file for internal or external information or communication purposes (newsletters, institutional websites, contact files, shareholders, invitations to events, etc.) relating to the purpose or activity pursued by the natural or legal person who carries out the processing, excluding any commercial or political solicitation (for shareholders: annual reports, letters to shareholders, various documentation, in particular for the preparation of General Meetings, convening meetings, etc.);
• Creation, editing and dissemination of information and documents, in particular at the request of interested persons, internally or externally in various formats (e-mail, video, social networking page, image, testimonials, mobile application, podcast, newsletter, etc.), excluding commercial or political communication;
• Exchanges with the persons concerned and in particular, replies to written requests made by visitors in the various sections provided for this purpose (contact form, phone call, letters, etc.);
• Management of visitor registrations for meetings and events of a non-commercial or political nature organized by Compagnie de Saint-Gobain;
• Implementation of a media library to manage communication media (videos, photographs, testimonies, etc.);
• Brand promotion, sponsorship and public relations management actions (participation in student forums, project financing, event organization, etc.);
• Creation and analysis of studies and surveys (online, paper, etc.);
• Provision of research tools on institutional websites to users;
• Production of statistics and reports, based on connection data, on the use of an online public communication service (website, page on social networks, etc.).
• Legal basis of the processing operation:

Legitimate interest (article 6.1.f of the GDPR): sending information to Saint-Gobain employees and to people who have expressed an interest in it, sending invitations to public figures in connection with the event in question and compiling statistics on the use of online public communication services.

Consent (article 6.1.a of the GDPR): free registration of persons upon receipt of the desired information (unsubscribing is possible at any time by using the integrated unsubscribe link or by contacting the sender) and unambiguous approach of the person concerned to participate in exchanges, events, studies, surveys or testimonies.

• Data and retention periods

Where appropriate, persons shall be informed of the mandatory or optional nature of the data requested and of the consequences for them of failure to reply.

• Recipients

Authorized persons:

• from communication departments, for their respective perimeters;
• in charge of organizing the event concerned, if necessary;
• able to process the data subject's request, if necessary;
• in charge of application management and IT infrastructure.
• Data transfer outside the Union

The data processed in this activity may be transmitted to the authorized persons of the Saint-Gobain Group (click here to view the different countries in which the Group operates). The security and confidentiality of these transfers are contractually guaranteed by the presence of standard contractual clauses drawn up by the European Commission.
