ISOVER switches to green energy in Switzerland

The ISOVER plant in Lucens has reached a new milestone in its progress towards environmental protection. It now uses CO2-neutral gas for its industrial process heating.

ISOVER's Swiss plant in Lucens has taken a decisive step down the path towards the Group's target of carbon neutrality by 2050.

While its electricity had for many years come from the Grande Dixence hydro power plant, the energy used to produce the glass wool for the Swiss market now comes from fully CO2-free sources.

The facilities, certified at the end of March by the gas supplier Energiapro in partnership with ecoLive, offset the CO2 emissions from the gas supplied through climate protection projects in Kenya, Madagascar and India.
