A hub for the Group’s latest innovations, the Al-Muntada exhibition space has opened its doors in Masdar City (United Arab Emirates). Spread over 400 m² and 3 floors, 25 Saint-Gobain solutions were used for the frame, the interior and the exterior of the building. Masdar City, right in the heart of the United Arab Emirates, was built in the middle of the desert with the aim of becoming an exemplary ecological city and a testing ground for renewable energies, green transport and waste management. An innovative city, the perfect setting for the construction of the first Saint-Gobain Knowledge Space in the Middle East: the Al-Muntada exhibition space. This 400 m² carbon net zero space presents the very latest innovations from the Group in light and sustainable construction.
A forum, a testing and training center, as well as an office space, Al-Muntada presents solutions that combine comfort, energy performance, and aesthetics to potential customers and stakeholders in the value chain (authorities, developers, architects, consultants, engineers, entrepreneurs, distributors, students, etc.).
More than 25 Saint-Gobain solutions with EPD (Environmental Product Declarations) certificates were used in this project, offering a unique experience and an opportunity to feel (thermal comfort), hear (acoustic comfort), see (aesthetics and natural light), and breathe (air quality).
