PAM in South Sudan
For the first time, and despite the unstable local context, Saint-Gobain PAM pipes will be transporting drinking water in this East African country.
In an unstable political and economic context, the rollout of essential infrastructure, such as access to drinking water, sanitation, the construction of roads and even the electricity grid, has proven challenging.
But Saint-Gobain PAM has installed 6.5 km of Natural DN 350 pipe and 10 metric tons of fittings for the Juba WS (South Sudan) project to transport drinking water to the country’s capital and its 500,000 residents.
Saint-Gobain PAM’s expertise will ensure the water network’s long-term operability and reduce the time it takes many Juban residents to access drinking water. The team in charge of the project worked tirelessly to ensure its completion funded by and under the supervision of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
