€10 million has been invested in Saint-Gobain Distribution Bâtiment France's logistics base in order to extend the brands’ range of products on offer and step up e-commerce.

Saint-Gobain Distribution Bâtiment France’s logistics base in Brie-Comte-Robert, Paris region (France) has just stepped up a gear. €10 million has been invested to add a new stage to the mechanized order preparation line. The aim is to triple the number of references managed (now raised to 40,000) and speed up order preparation for the 2,000 sales outlets, all brands combined.

The introduction of this new system makes it possible to extend the range of “small” products - that travel easily - on offer in the tools, hardware, chemical products, electricity, etc. ranges. The Brie-Comte-Robert logistics platform, now the most powerful, works in tandem with the central inventories of the Cedeo and Brossette brands, which specialize in sanitaryware, heating, plumbing and air conditioning supplies.

The result will be improved service for the customers of Saint-Gobain Distribution Bâtiment France’s brands (POINT.P, Cedeo et Brossette, La Plateforme du Bâtiment, PUM Plastiques, Asturienne, SFIC, Dispano, Décocéram and CDL Elec), and a boost for e-commerce sales.
