Saint-Gobain has been certified as a "Top Employer Global" for the 8th consecutive year. Among the 20 criteria studied by the Top Employers Institute*, Saint-Gobain made significant progress this year on 15 of them, including 5 criteria showing an increase of more than 2%. 

Top 5 criteria that have evolved:

  2. Diversity & Inclusion (+3.12%)
  3. Digital HR (+3.04%)
  4. Well-Being (+2.79%)
  5. Talent acquisition (+2,43%)

The criteria that set us above other companies are those that unite and bring our employees together and create a sense of belonging within the organization: the Purpose & Values (+2.36%) , On-Boarding (+1.99%) and Business Strategy (+0.46%) criteria.

The criteria highlighting the Group's tenacity in exploring and evolving its global strategies as an employer of choice are also commended: the Business Strategy, Leadership and Recruitment Strategy criteria.

What is Top Employer?

The Top Employer label rewards the best global companies by examining aspects including the organization’s HR and career development processes in each of its countries. It is a label awarded locally by country, then by region and finally, by accumulation, at a global level.

The 2023 Top Employer Global label was awarded to Saint-Gobain thanks to the company’s 40 countries that have currently been certified: 

Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, USA, UK, Vietnam.

Peru and Singapore enter the ranking this year and are counted for the Top Employer certificates in their Latin America and Asia-Pacific Regions, in addition to the 2 other awarded regions: North America and Europe.

*The examination by the Top Employers Institute is based on a questionnaire for each country, covering more than 400 practices relating to working conditions, which are audited and then validated.
These HR practices are grouped into 6 separate categories: Steer and Shape (these two domains explore the overarching strategies from the employer’s perspective), Attract, Develop and Engage (these three domains cover the employee journey), and finally, Unite (captures the topics that bring employees together and create a sense of belonging with the organization).
