AmpliSky© à la conquête de nouveaux horizons

At the end of June, it wasn't just aircraft that put on a show at the famous Paris Air Show at Le Bourget (France). Renault presented its new "Rafale" model to the general public, equipped with the Solarbay panoramic roof. Thanks to the AmpliSky© complete active system developed by Saint-Gobain Sekurit, Solarbay can be opacified on demand, by segment. Produced at the Herzogenrath (Germany) plant, it uses PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) technology, liquid crystals contained in an electrically activated film.

Innovative and spectacular, this panoramic roof also optimizes thermal comfort in summer and winter, and with it, energy consumption for air-conditioning and heating. Until now, this option was only available on top-of-the-range vehicles like Porsche. Rafale expands the market to the general public.

There's no doubt that the Solarbay Sekurit-Renault will be the talk of the town at the Munich Motor Show in September.
