CLIMAVER® in the classroom
Destroyed in the 2016 earthquake, this school in Umbria, Italy, is finally opening its doors again. It provides its pupils with an optimum acoustic learning environment thanks to Saint-Gobain solutions.

The violent quake that struck central Italy in 2016 destroyed the Giano dell’Umbria primary school. It has been rebuilt to withstand earthquakes and is now ready to receive its 300 pupils. Involved right from the design stage of the renovation project, Saint-Gobain teams specified the CLIMAVER® solution alongside other Group solutions such as ISOVER PAR 4+ and numerous Saint-Gobain Gyproc products (Igniver, Aquaroc, Vapor 13, Duragyp 13 Activ'Air®, Gyproc Gyprofile).
Nearly 400m² of CLIMAVER®, rigid glass wool panels designed for air conditioning ducts, have been installed to meet the acoustic, ventilation and air conditioning and seismic challenges that HVAC systems can generate. During installation, only one operation was necessary because CLIMAVER® is a unique product that replaces both the metal ductwork and the insulation. This solution has saved approximately 40% of installation time compared to traditional products.
