Saint-Gobain solutions for the decarbonization of Schneider Electric
Thanks to thermal insulation systems, complete roof insulation solutions and solar control glazing, the renovation of Schneider Electric’s headquarters in Stezzano, Italy, marks a further step towards achieving its decarbonization goals.
Improving the energy efficiency of existing office buildings represents the first step in the ambitious decarbonization process under way at the large Italian headquarters of Schneider Electric SpA, whose mission is to enable everyone to make the most of available energy and resources, combining progress with sustainability.
Energy-efficiency solutions from Saint-Gobain Italy cover the entire insulation of the external envelope of the existing buildings, including façades and roofs, and windows as well as walls. The large, continuous horizontal windows – partially masked on the main façade by elegant aluminum sunshades – feature COOL-LITE® SKN 176 ORAÉ® solar control glazing, a latest-generation system with very low carbon content, specially designed to minimize its environmental impact by limiting greenhouse gas emissions throughout its life cycle.
Thanks to its high-performance phenolic resin panels, the webertherm plus ultra thermal insulation system offers a high degree of protection against atmospheric agents and effective thermal insulation, all at reduced size. The proposed roof insulation package consists of lightweight, high-performance Isover PIR Black panels and Bituver Bitumastic water-based mastic.
Grâce à des panneaux en résine phénolique haute performance, le système d'isolation thermique webertherm plus ultra assure, avec des dimensions réduites, un haut degré de protection du bâtiment contre les agents atmosphériques et une isolation thermique efficace. Le « package » proposé pour l'isolation de la toiture est plutôt composé de panneaux Isover PIR Black légers et performants et de mastic Bituver Bitumastic en émulsion aqueuse.
