Three months from start to finish
Using modular construction, Saint-Gobain and SH Holz & Modulbau GmbH succeeded in refurbishing a youth activity center in Lingen, Germany, in just three months.

Saint-Gobain and SH Holz & Modulbau GmbH took just three months to refurbish the Stadtteiltreff Stroot youth activity center in Lingen, Germany. To do so, they used a set of modules prefabricated in the factory and then installed directly on site.
Saint-Gobain supplied pre-cut custom solutions for this project, including nearly 3,500m² of Rigidur Gypsum Fiberboard, 300m² of Glasroc X, 300m² of Habito and 400m² of Rigidur Flooring. As part of a sustainable construction approach, prefabricated modules from a former refugee home were also reused for the construction of the building. The center is now open to the city’s young people where they can engage in a broad range of cultural activities.
